Fellow members of the Real Jedi Knights,
This topic has been created to keep the members of the RJK informed of important news and the decision of discussions conducted by the Council. New Council Member appointments will also be announced here. It is to replace the "Keeping You Posted" topic which has been retired. If anyone has submitted any ideas to the Council, the decision will also be posted here. This topic will be updated regularly by myself and other Council Members and I hope it will help keep you all in the loop more than in the past. As this will also be an official record of Council decisions and business, it will be a closed topic. At the end of 2009 this topic will be archived for reference purposes and a new topic started in 2010. Thanks *bows* |

Fellow members of RJK,
The Council has been discussing how to improve the seriousness of this Order. As a result a number of changes are going to be made. From Monday 6th July 2009 the Joining procedure for new applicants will change. The Council is introducing an Admissions Team to oversee the Joining Forum. This Team will be made up of the following Jedi: Jedi Master Sentinel Jedi Master Draco Jedi Master Ki-Lan Ray When a new member applies they must fill out a Joining Application as laid out in the "Joining Application and Requirements" topic pinned in the Joining Forum. Once this is done the Admissions Team will review these topics and conduct an interview of the applicant in their Joining topic to better assess whether they are suitable. This will take place for the 7 day period required for acceptance. At the end of the interview the decision of the majority of the Admissions Team will decide on the applicants acceptance or denial for training. The decision of the Admissions Team is final In addition to the changes to Youngling acceptance there has been a change to the acceptance procedure for Allies and Ambassadors. For full details on all the changes please read the "Joining Application and Requirements" topic pinned in the Joining forum section. Thanks. |

Fellow Members of RJK,
As part of increasing seriousness at RJK the Council has decided to make some changes. 1) If a member is a Visitor for 3 months, isn't posting actively, and doesn't post a Joining Application then their account will be deleted. 2) If a Visitor is denied training at RJK then their account will be deleted as part of the aforementioned 3 month clean-up. 3) If a Youngling does not take the Youngling Classes within 3 months of becoming a Youngling then their account will be deleted. The first account clean-up has taken place today and will be performed every 3 months from now on. Thanks. |

As I heard some of you wonder about the situation of the Council, here it is:
We are 12 members. Not all these members up because they are in a non-Moderator Member group, for security purposes. Not all of us are active, but we have in mind names of Candidates to replace them, this decision requires time to be as wise as possible. Master Fu has currently internet problems and is very busy offline, that is why he isn't very active, but he works for RJK- the main site works. For now we are 5/6 active members and we are working well together. Since Master Sentinel has left, I will try my best to keep the Order updated on what the Council has done/is doing.
Master Kasbek has been appointed to the Council and Master Desmond has returned to active status. Pending Council approval, Padawan Jake Windu will become News Scribe and handle the RJK newsletter The Admissions Team work has been slow, to which I apologize. After Sentinel's departure, I took on Admin duties and have been trying to learn them which has taken up a good deal of my online time. Master Ki Lan has had spotty internet access and has been unable to get on for very long at any one time I would like to remind all Visitors and those who have applied for admission in the Joining Forum to fulfill the requirements. Without doing so, you will not be admitted to RJK -------------------- "The greatest evil in this world is not the evil men who do evil things, but the good men who do nothing"
"Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen." -Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me" -Psalm 23.4 "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is Death" -Corinthians 15.26 "You are my adversary, but you are not my enemy. For your resistance gives me strength. Your will gives me courage. Your spirit ennobles me. And though I aim to defeat you, should I succeed, I will not humiliate you. Instead, I will honor you. For without you, I am a lesser man." |

Master Sentinel is now back in his former position.
He will handle all the Admin problems left unsolved. I thank Master Draco with all my heart for his help during Master Sentinel's absence. The Newsletter is working well. The Council will keep you updated. May the Force be with you Master Silmerion Skywalker -------------------- ![]() FORMER PADAWAN TO KAI STORMWALKER "An infinite mystery is the Force. This is a difficult post to write, but I feel that you are all owed an explanation regarding my absence and return.
As many of you know I left recently although most of you do not know why. It was due to my receiving some very bad news about my health and my reaction to it. The exact nature of this news I am not comfortable about disclosing at this time, except that is it serious medical illness. However my reaction to it was irrational fear due to lack of knowledge and confusion, I cut myself off from family, and friends (online and offline). I have to admit that I am scared even now, I have never been so scared in my life. This is despite the fact my doctor is hopeful of me making a full recovery. I wouldn't say I reacted in the best way but I did react in the human way. My return was not an easy thing too. I asked that the Council vote on this and that I would only return if the majority were in favour. This only seemed fair. As a result I have been restored to the Council and to many of my former duties but not all. I want to continue the good work I started and continue to be here for all of you and to build on what we have, and to make it greater. I apologize to everyone for the way and can only say that I will now continue as I did before, serving this Order to the best of my ability. Thank you. (P.S; Please don't offended if I do not discuss my illness, it is a private thing and must remain so as it makes me uncomfortable to speak about it.) -------------------- |

Just as clarification to those who have voiced their concerns to myself and other members of the Council about Master Sentinel's return today, he has indeed been returned to his former position on the Council and as an Administrator but his workload compared to before is much less due to the establishment of the Joining Application team and Master Sorren running the Youngling Classes. The Council feels that this will allow the Order to run much more smoothly because the work is more evenly distributed and Master Sentinel will be able to continue his work without the stress of the other workloads that we have resolved.
There was also some question raised as to whether or not the majority ruled in favor of what the final result was, and despite what some have said, it was in majority. If you have any more questions or concerns to this decision or others, please message me or another Council Member. I will try to add more details to the announcements of decisions so this confusion does not happen again in the future as per request of the members. Thank you, and welcome back Master Sentinel. -------------------- Regards,

Fellow Members of RJK,
As you may be aware the Council has had some troubles setting up the Admissions Team so that all its members can use the Joining forum. This has now been resolved and the Admissions Team can all now post and comment in the Joining Forum, as well as being able to open and close topics. In addition Master Draco and Master Ki-Lan Ray now have to Admin abilities to alter rank, names, etc. This will greatly increase the effectiveness of this team. Thank you for your hard work Master Draco, Master Ki-Lan Ray, Knight Jan-Qui Coran, Knight Tyro, and Padawan Grey Fox. We all appreciate your efforts. Also yesterday I created a new forum section in the News catagory for the RJK Newsletters, this replaces the Newsletter Usergroup. It has always been an awkward issue and I think that this will solve it. All the Newsletters will now be posted in there and all ranks can read them. Padawan Jake Windu (News Scribe) has also been made Moderator of this forum section (Led by) to allow him to better go about his duties. Good luck with the Newsletters Padawan Jake Windu, you are doing great work and I am sure we all appreciate it. Thanks. -------------------- |

Fellow members of RJK,
It is with a heavy heart that I must report that Master Ki-Lan Ray has left the Council, the Admissions Team, and the Order. We wish him well with his future and hope to see him again some day. Thanks. *bows* -------------------- |

Fellow members of RJK,
It has been said in the past that the Council does not let the Order know what we are discussing and voting on. Although this is not always possible; in matters of discipline, security, hack attempts etc, we are going to post announcements about discussion that do affect the Order and its members. These could be things like new ideas for improvement, Council member votes (the list of candidates), and other things too. Let me start this by saying that the Council has begun discussions about the creation of a Knight Trials Correction Team. We are discussing that this Team will be made up of a number of Council Masters to take share some of work, as the new Knight Trials require longer to grade than the old ones. Thanks -------------------- |

Fellow Members of RJK,
In the wake of Master Ki-Lan Ray leaving the Order, there is currently a vacant seat on the Council. The Council has begun discussions and voting to decide who should fill that seat. In the spirit of keeping the Order informed of the Council's work, we are making you aware of this and of the candidates being considered by the Council. All the current active Knights are being considered (as this is important as a Council Member) and are listed below. Anthony Dogan Nar Ferka Jan-Qui Coran Kenesu Maltiok Altas Shiroshi Nakkali Tyro This vote will last 10 days then the new Council Member who has been appointed will be announced in this topic. Thanks. -------------------- |
